The most sustainable way to eradicate poverty is to empower communities with relevant skills to enable them make use of locally available resources at their disposal for self reliance. This method has proven to have long term impact as compared to handouts and relief which only create dependency. To the glory of God, Oasis Community Network is launching a Tailoring program aimed at equipping men and women from Subo communities with tailoring and garment making skills relevant for self reliance. This launch is happening together with the ground breaking of MAARIFA TRAINING CENTRE – A state of the art Vocational Training Centre that will offer courses in Masonry, Carpentry and wood work, Tailoring, Plumbing and electrical installation.
The launch is happening on the 18th of March 2023 at the OASIS COMMUNITY NETWORK CENTRE in Subo, Tana River County.
